Disclaimer of Data & Listings

Listing Verification Disclaimer: The BLACK BUYCOTT™ Movement verifies listings through real-world community contributors. However, directory listings, products, pricing, and business operating status may change. Users are encouraged to confirm coordinates and operating hours directly with the businesses.

Mock Listings: During the pre-launch preview mode (running through July 31, 2026), several directory entries are represented by mockup data to demonstrate application features. All mockup listings will be refreshed and replaced with verified live database records by the official launch date on August 1, 2026.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms: By accessing or using the BLACK BUYCOTT™ app and directory, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use, including our commitment to supporting verified Black-owned businesses.

2. User Conduct & Verification: Posting rights in the community shout-outs feed require user sign-in, profile registration, and SMS verification. Inauthentic posting, promotional spam, or harassment will result in immediate profile suspension.

3. Intellectual Property: All content, trademarks (including BLACK BUYCOTT™ and BUY BLACK Every Friday™), logos, software, and directory database formats are the exclusive property of the BLACK BUYCOTT™ Movement.

4. Limitation of Liability: The platform is provided "as is". We are not responsible for transactional disputes between consumers and directory merchants or third-party e-commerce sites.

Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection: We collect essential information to verify user accounts and local listings. This includes name, email, profile photo, and phone number for SMS authentication.

2. Location Services: The Map tab utilizes device location data to identify and highlight verified Black-owned businesses near you. This location data is processed locally on your device and is not stored permanently on our servers.

3. Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell or lease user data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. All community activity (such as vouches and shout-outs) is published transparently on the feed to drive local commerce velocity.

4. Data Deletion: Users can request complete deletion of their verification profiles and shout-out logs at any time by contacting support in the Profile tab.
